Personal Counseling Personal counseling is provided to currently enrolled Wilkes Community College students on a short term basis. The goal is to assist students in developing better coping strategies, resolve conflicts, and handle crisis situations. Referrals to community agencies or resource persons are made if it is apparent that individuals can be assisted more appropriately in this manner.
The counseling staff adheres to the Ethical Standards of the American Counseling Association. All counseling is confidential with the exception of imminent danger to self or others, or when legal requirements demand that confidential information be revealed.
