The Wilkes Community College Bookstore, owned and operated by Wilkes Community College, welcomes you to our web page.
We are located on the second floor of Thompson Hall.
Our regular hours of operation are:
Monday-Thursday, 8:45 am - 6:00 pm
Friday, 8:45 am-3:00 pm
We are closed during official college holidays and Saturdays unless prearranged for Saturday classes.
In addition to supplying students with all of their required and recommended textbooks and school supplies, the Bookstore also offers a wide range of items, including computers, computer software, trade books, book bags, book bags on wheels, briefcases, study aids, greeting cards, seasonal and everyday gifts, art supplies, stuffed animals, and more.
The Wilkes Community College Bookstore graciously offers to its customers key services, such as small personal check cashing, postage stamps, mail drop, gift wrapping, class rings, and special orders. Selected course books needed for future classes may be sold back to the Bookstore. Book buy back is usually the last three days in each semester. Master Card, VISA, Discover Card, personal checks, and cash are accepted.

Spring Semester 2014 Booklist (Click on link below)
The Spring Semester booklist is now available online. This list is a work in progress so continue to check for an updated list. Our textbook management system automatically lists used book prices but that is no guarantee that used books are available.
Please note at the top of each page of the booklist is the following R/C/O/S. These letters stand for the following: R = Required for class; C = Choice of item for class; O = Optional (not required) and S = Suggested only. For example CIS 110 offers a choice of the traditional text, Discovering Computers/MS Office 2013 w/Windows7 & SAM 2013 Access Card, versus an eText, Custom Access Card SAM w/Mindtap Reader MS Office 2013: Introductory & Discovering Computers.
3rd Party Sponsorship and Nelnet Payment Plans may be used beginning Monday, November 18, 2013 for Spring Semester 2014
Pell Grant, Direct Loans and Scholarships funds may be used beginning Thursday, January 2, 2014 for Spring Semester 2014
Book Buy Back:
Fall Semester Book Buy Back is Friday, December 13, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm and Monday & Tuesday, December 16 & 17, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm at both Wilkes and Ashe campuses. Alleghany Center's Book Buy Back will be Monday, December 16, 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
